Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport was built from the ground up—fueled by passion, persistence, and a bold vision for what an independent NASCAR team could become. From small-town roots to national competition, Jordan Anderson’s journey began with a love for racing and a relentless work ethic, evolving into a multi-car Xfinity Series team powered by a pivotal partnership with John Bommarito. What started as a grassroots operation hauling a single truck across the country has grown into a respected contender—earning wins, poles, and a reputation for grit and growth. Today, the team is investing in talent, innovation, and culture to challenge the status quo and build a new kind of racing legacy.

Where It All Began

Team Beginnings

The story of Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport didn’t start in a boardroom or on a balance sheet—it started on a living room couch. Six-year-old Jordan Anderson from small town Forest Acres, South Carolina began watching NASCAR races on TV and fell in love with the sport. By age seven, he was behind the wheel of a go-kart thanks to a chance meeting from a family friend, setting the stage for a lifelong pursuit of racing excellence. Anderson’s parents, both self-employed entrepreneurs, had no background in the motorsports world – but instilled in Jordan a never-give-up work ethic and desire to chase dreams.

Jordan climbed the ranks with grit and determination: from go-karts to Bandolero and Legend cars—winning over 100 races and multiple championships—then to dirt late models and asphalt super late models across the Carolinas – handling both the preparation of his race cars and growing marketing partnerships along the way. After graduating college with a degree in marketing, his passion took him to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and the CARS Tour, eventually making his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in 2014 at the Phoenix Raceway. In 2015, Jordan ran full-time in the No. 74 truck, maintaining it with a small group of friends and hauling it cross-country with a dually and gooseneck. They ran the same truck all season long, working out of hotel parking lots along the way – from Daytona, to Bristol, Michigan, and even the road course at Mosport. It was grassroots racing at its purest—powered by hustle and heart.

Building The Team

The New Era

In 2016, a chance encounter turned into a pivotal partnership when Jordan met John Bomarito of the Bomarito Automotive Group through a partnership on his truck at the Worldwide Technology Raceway. After Jordan’s dually broke down during a stretch of races the next year, John stepped in to help with a replacement truck. What started as a gesture of support became the seed for something greater. More than a businessman, John is a builder of legacies with innovation and grit—transforming a single-point dealership into one of the top 50 automotive groups in the nation. His vision and strategic insight have not only reshaped the retail automotive landscape, but also fueled the team’s rise from a grassroots operation to a serious contender on the NASCAR stage. What began as a supportive sponsorship evolved into a full-throttle partnership—driven by a shared belief that passion, perseverance, and bold thinking can challenge the status quo and build something truly unstoppable.

By the end of 2017, after years of driving for various teams, Jordan made the bold decision to start his own team—one that would reflect his values, work ethic, and vision for the future. With encouragement from John and guidance from trusted mentors, Jordan Anderson Racing was born. In 2018, the newly-formed team debuted at Daytona, finishing in the top 10 with the No. 3 truck. Over the next three years, the team transitioned from a dually-and-gooseneck operation to a professional outfit with a 53-foot hauler, pit box, and growing inventory. Every season brought lessons, upgrades, and progress for the owner-driver and his supportive group behind him. By 2021, the team was ready to step up. JAR launched its first full-time Xfinity Series program with the No. 31 car. But racing doesn’t offer shortcuts—qualifying was rained out at Daytona, and without owner points, the team was sidelined for the next 10 races because of how qualifying was structured during Covid. It could’ve been the end. Instead, it was the beginning of something remarkable.

Present Day

The Latest

The team returned at Circuit of the Americas with Xfinity champion Tyler Reddick, kicking off a string of top-10 finishes. Smart rulebook navigation and strategic driver selections—including Josh Berry, Kaz Grala, Austin and Ty Dillon—helped secure the team’s place in the field and in the garage. Jordan even returned to the driver seat at Talladega, grabbing a top-five finish. In 2022, Jordan and John purchased a new facility in Statesville, NC—a major milestone. That year, Myatt Snider became the team’s first full-time Xfinity driver, delivering the team’s first stage win at Portland.

2023 marked a huge step forward: the team expanded to two full-time cars with Jeb Burton and Parker Retzlaff. Six months after Jordan’s fiery crash at Talladega, Jeb delivered the team’s first win and Championship playoff berth—at the very same track. It was also the first time both cars qualified and finished in the top ten. In 2024, the team won poles with Retzlaff at Richmond and Martinsville, and developed the No. 32 as a third entry—primarily run by Jordan at superspeedways. Now in 2025, the team is fielding three cars: Jeb Burton returns to the No. 27, Blaine Perkins pilots the No. 31, and the No. 32 rotates between Jordan, Austin Green, and Katherine Legge.

Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport is no longer the scrappy underdog—it’s a team earning its place, lap by lap, among NASCAR’s most respected competitors. The growth from a one-truck outfit to a multi-car Xfinity Series team has been both rapid and hard-earned, driven by strategic moves, breakthrough performances, and a team-wide belief that with grit and the right people, anything is possible.

THE FUTURE

Where We're Going

With a growing foundation, passionate people, and strong partnerships, the team is pushing beyond what’s expected from a newer organization. At Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport, the future isn’t something we’re waiting on—it’s something we’re building every single day. The goal isn’t just to compete—it’s to win, to grow, and to reshape what’s possible for independent race teams in NASCAR.

From our earliest days hauling a single truck across the country with a dually and gooseneck, to fielding multiple full-time cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, every step of this journey has been about more than just speed—it’s been about purpose and belief. Belief in our people, belief in our partners, and belief in the idea that passion and persistence can disrupt the norms and carve a new path forward in this sport.

Looking ahead, our mission is clear: grow with intention, compete with consistency, and lead with innovation. We’re not chasing shortcuts—we’re investing in our infrastructure, our talent, and our culture. That means elevating our engineering and development capabilities, deepening relationships with our manufacturer and partners, and continuing to bring in diverse talent—drivers, fabricators, mechanics, engineers, and thinkers who see what racing can become, not just what it’s been.

We aim to continue expanding our presence on track and in the garage. The long-term vision includes fielding competitive entries across multiple disciplines, developing the next generation of talent, and positioning the team as a premiere destination for both veteran drivers and rising stars. We want to be known not just as a team that shows up—but one that shows up with purpose, resilience, and a relentless will to improve. The journey is still being written—but if the past few years are any indication, the future’s coming fast.
